Octoberfest in September? Poway Days beer focused event Septemberfest taking place on September 16th at Poway Community Park
Great news! We no longer have to wait until October to partake in Octoberfest festivities. Poway Days is a three weekend event showcasing the best of Poway’s performers, artisans, eateries, culture and more. After seeing a list of all the events happening over the three weekends, the event that peaked our interest the most is called Septemberfest. This beer focused event will be held on Saturday, September 16th from 4:00-8:00pm at Poway Community Park. The goal is to bring Poway and the San Diego community together to enjoy simple pleasures such as craft beer, music, cars and art.
Beer Garden
Most beer festivals require you to leave the kids at home, but Septemberfest is unique. Septemberfest will be held in a family friendly environment; creating both a communal and initimate environment than most festivals. This event will be open to all ages to attend, but of course, you must be 21+ to enjoy the beer. In case you are wondering, this is a very affordable beer festival as tickets are only $25 per ticket. Food
After filling yourself with cold crisp beer, you may decide to soak it up with some delicious food. Be sure to look around as there will be amazing food trucks flanking the park. The list includes: Born in Brooklyn, Super Q, Criscito Pizza and Simply Fresh just to name a few.
Entertainment
There will be plenty of entertainment as well. Take a stroll to check out the mean and pristine hot rods and muscle cars at the Madame Mechanic Classic Car Show. You can then take a look at the local art scene as you make your way through the local artists booths. Some of the art will be available for purchase, if you feel so inclined. Septemberfest will also name the winners of their So You Think You Can Sing finale. You’ll definitely want to practice your best Simon Cowell impression as your vote will help choose a winner.
