Ska Brewing Steel Toe Stout Brownies

Ingredients
  • 1cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetended cocoa powder
  • 1/2teaspoon salt
  • 3 1/2oz semi-sweet chocolatecoarsely chopped
  • 1/2cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2cup Ska Brewing Steel Toe Stout
  • 4 large eggsat room temperature
  • 1cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugarpacked
  • 2tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Place a rack in the center of the oven preheat to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour a 9 x 13 in baking pan. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt together.
  3. Melt the chocolate in a heat-proof bowl over a pot of boiling water. Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat until it turns a golden brown color (approx. 5 mins). Pour the butter into the chocolate and stir until combined.
  4. Remove the bowl and stir in Ska Brewing’s Steel Toe Stout.
  5. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together eggs, vanilla and sugars until thick (approx. 2 mins).
  6. Add the chocolate mixture and whisk to combine. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 35 – 40 mins or until the edges are firm and the center is set. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing.
  8. Slice into 12 large or 24 small brownies
  9. To store, cover the pan in plastic wrap and keep on the counter for up to a week.

For an added romantic touch, we took a cookie cutter and cut the brownies into heart shapes!
