The Rhythm & Brews Craft Beer and Music Festival Returns for 8th Year

The San Diego Brewers Guild’s 8th annual Rhythm & Brews Craft Beer and Music Festival returns to Historic Downtown Vista Village on Saturday, May 4, 2019. If you haven’t heard… music, beer, and food are among Hoplight Social’s favorite things! We’re a big fan of the R&B Fest and any event hosted by The San Diego Brewers Guild for that matter. Most craft beer fests have speakers blasting dancey tunes, but Rhythm & Brews Fest takes it to another level. Live music is at the forefront of the festival. The lineup for this year features live music from Matt Costa, Low Volts, and Francis Blume. Headliner Matt Costa will bring modern-meets-vintage sound to the stage. Listeners will enjoy sounds from his latest album, Santa Rosa Fangs. Low Volts is a three-time San Diego Music Award winner. You can expect a one-man, blues-rock performance with his old slide guitar, kick drum and howling vocals. Lastly, Vista, CA-native Francis Blume’s alternative sound and blues-sounding vocals and guitar skills will leave you cheering for more.

Brews

Festival attendees will enjoy a day filled with beer samples from 50+ independent breweries. This year, guests will enjoy pours from an array of San Diego breweries, like Bay City Brewing Co., Eppig Brewing, Pure Project, Fall Brewing Co., Booze Brothers, and Pizza Port Brewing Co., as well as breweries from north of the Capital of Craft, including Sierra Nevada and Firestone Walker Brewing Company

Proceeds

Proceeds from the event benefit two local nonprofits, the San Diego Brewers Guild and the North County Food Bank. The San Diego Brewers Guild’s mission is to support the county’s 150+ independent craft breweries. The North County Food Bank’s mission is to provide vital food assistance to individuals and families in need throughout San Diego’s North County. You may provide even further aid by making a contribution to the new, interactive, Virtual Food Drive on behalf of the SDBG. Additionally, event-goers may also donate non-perishable food items at the festival.

A primary focus of San Diego Brewers Guild is to promote the efforts of our brewery members and educate the public on the importance of supporting independent craft beer

Tickets

There are 2 ticket options for the 8th Annual Rhythm & Brews Festival

  1. General Admission $45: Entry to event at 1 pm. Over 100 beers are available for sampling and a commemorative cup.
  2. VIP $70: Early entry at 12 pm, access to the VIP section with rare beer, tables, chairs and shade near the main stage, catered lunch by When Pigs Fly, private restrooms, over 100 beers available for sampling, and a commemorative cup.
