Beer Steamed Peel and Eat Shrimp

Beer steamed peel and eat shrimp has to be one of the quickest, most flavorful shrimp recipes you can make this summer. This recipe only has three ingredients, yet it tastes unlike any shrimp you’ve ever had before. Serve the shrimp right out of the steamer or chilled. The best way to enjoy them are to squeeze lemon wedges over shrimp, suck the flavor off the shells, peel them off, and then eat the juicy shrimp!

The Beer

I went to one of my local supermarkets to get my ingredients because they have quality seafood as well as a good selection of local beers. As I was looking for a beer that had some sort of pineapple taste, I was surprised to see that there were a few. I ended up going with Jekyll Brewing’s Pineapple Habanero Hop Dang Diggity. It is hoppy with a taste of pineapple and a little kick from the habanero. After one sip I knew it would be the perfect beer for my steamed shrimp. You can use any beer of your choice, though if you really want to enhance the flavor of the shrimp using IPAs works best.
