Beer To The Rescue – 3rd Edition
We’re sure all of you beer lovers have figured out by now that May is Lupus Awareness Month. Especially since most of our local breweries have teamed up with Beer To The Rescue to help initiate campaigns to increase awareness. The month of May itself will host over 40 events dedicated Lupus awareness campaigns. For the past two weeks Hoplight Social has featured a list of the upcoming Beer To The Rescue events 1st edition and 2nd edition. Below is your Beer To The Rescue – 3rd Edition (May 15th – 21st) guide to local breweries events in honor of Lupus Awareness Month. So San Diego, let’s do what we do best and enjoy beer while extending our support to those suffering with Lupus.
Monday, May 15th: New English Brewing
New English Brewing in Sorrento Valley will be hosting a tasting room event with fun take home prizes. Between 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. $1 of all beer purchased will go to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Tuesday, May 16th: Resident Brewing
Resident Brewing will be hosting an event to bring awareness to Lupus at The Local Eatery and Drinking Hole. Between 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., $1 from each purchase of a special beer brewed just for this event will go to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Wednesday, May 17th: Division 23 Brewing
Division 23 Brewing in Miramar will host an event between 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. For every purchase of their fruit-infused double IPA brewed, 100% of the profits will go to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California. You read it right, 100%.
Thursday, May 18th: O’Brien’s Pub
O’Brien’s Pub in Kearny Mesa will debut the official release of “Hops to the Rescue” – a double IPA brewed especially for this event. If you join them between 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., $1 from each pint of beer sold will be donated to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Friday, May 19th: Bay City Brewing Co.
Join Bay City Brewing Co. between 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. for a special release of “In My Younger Haze” – a hazy IPA created especially for this event. Following the event, Bay City Brewing Co. will make a special donation to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Saturday, May 20th: Bolt Brewery
Between 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., Bolt Brewery beer garden in La Mesa will host a special event. Bolt Brewery will be donating 10% of the entire day’s total sales to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California. Sunday, May 21st: 2kids Brewing Company
2kids Brewing Company will be hosting an event between 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. releasing a special Blond Session IPA. 2kids Brewing Company will donate $1 of all sales from each pint to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California. Sounds like the perfect Sunday Funday to us.
