If you know about craft beer, you know that it was born in California, and California brewers fashioned hop-forward brewing. However, Northern and Southern California both have unique twists to their west coast beer style. The good news is NorCal and SoCal have come together to create North by South (NxS) Red IPA. NxS Red IPA is a collaboration beer between Southern California’s Karl Strauss Brewing Company and Northern California’s Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. The California Roadshow introduces North by South Red IPA by traveling up the California coast stopping in select cities. If you’re wondering what you can expect from NxS IPA, here is the rundown. You can expect bold hoppy flavor featuring citrus and tropical fruit with a light and crisp malt body.
