First Taste at Metric Brewing

As the newest addition to the Colorado Springs beer scene, Metric Brewing has cultivated a welcoming space with deliciously unique beers. Mike Centanne (owner) and Chase Perry (co-owner/brewer), have been working tirelessly to get their new venture up and running. Driven by three principles: quality, curiosity, and community, Metric Brewing is one to visit.

Three Principles

Quality: “We’re driven to create interesting, well-crafted beers without compromise. With a devotion to the progression of craft beer and an obligation to our amazing local community, we’re committed to the pursuit of perfection. Beer is not just a widget in a business plan, it’s our life’s work.”

Curiosity: “If we’re being completely honest, we get bored easily around here. Flagship beers make great business sense, but if you ask us, it creates a boring brewhouse. We hope that you enjoy the fruits of our inquisitive nature and find something that piques your curiosity too!”

Community: “Beer has brought so many great people into our lives and we really love and appreciate the members of our great local craft beer scene. From collaborating with other great breweries and artisans, to helping out the many great non-profits in our area, we strive to be a local neighborhood brewery you can be proud to call your own.”

The Brewery

The three-barrel brewhouse has 16 taps which feature in-house creations as well as guest taps, kombucha, and cold brew nitro coffee. For now, you won’t find Metric in any local watering holes, but you can take growlers and crowlers to go from the Taproom.

The Beer

As soon as you walk in, you can see the intricate details and tireless work the team has put into Metric. After talking with Marie, my Beertender, about the different beers, I tried a flight and it was deliciously different.
