Ska Brewing Initiates 416 Fire Relief Efforts with Save the San Juans
Durango local, Ska Brewing, has organized a special event to help with the 416 fire relief efforts. Happening on Saturday, June 23rd, Ska has joined forces with other local breweries to host Save the San Juans Saturday to fight fire with beer. The breweries are encouraged to donate funds from pint sales to Durango’s Community Emergency Relief Fund (CERF). Their fundraising goal is $500,000. So, Ska is donating one dollar from every pint sold to CERF.
Since Ska initiated Save the San Juans, more than 25 breweries, bars, and restaurants have joined them.
Odell Brewing will also be donating a dollar from every pint of Colorado Lager sold at their Fort Collins and RiNo Denver locations towards the fire relief.
From now through Saturday, one dollar from every Oskar Blues pint sold at the Oskar Blues Brewery Longmont and Oskar Blues Boulder taprooms will support the fund. Additionally, Oskar Blues will be donating all sales of CANundrum mixed 12-packs sold to-go from their Boulder and Longmont taprooms.
“Oskar Blues and SKA are cut from the same unconventional ColoRADo cloth and have built our breweries in places we love to play in the outdoors. Hell, you can’t spell oSKAr without SKA. We’re proud to help lead the charge in helping their community respond to the 416 fire with a week of fundraising at our taprooms,” says Chad Melis, Marketing Director for Oskar Blues Brewery.
Not to mention, from now through the end of June, New Belgium Brewing will also be matching tips and donations in their Fort Collins tasting room.
