San Diego Beer Week 2018

We’re going to sound like a broken record but we think this year’s San Diego Beer Week will be the best yet. San Diego Brewers Guild hosted an SDBW Preview Party to drum up excitement for this year’s festivities. On top of the regularly scheduled programming, a lot of exciting new elements and attractions were added to enhance the 2018 SDBW experience. November 2nd-11th, San Diego Brewers Guild will showcase their best and favorite beers and celebrate all that is independent craft beer.  San Diego Beer Week is a 10-day celebration promoting the 130+ independent craft breweries in San Diego County.

What’s New:

San Diego Brewers Guild reached out to breweries and guilds all throughout California and across the border. This is the first year that our neighbors from both up North and down South will be participating. 2018 SDBW is the most inclusive one yet.

It’s difficult to keep all SDBW events organized. Hell, it’s hard to keep regularly scheduled beer events organized. San Diego Brewers Guild has created a solution to our problems – SD Beer App, The Official App For San Diego Beer. What this means for you during Nov 2nd-11th is you will be able to easily find SDBW events by map, list or by participating breweries. An even cooler aspect of the App is that you can call a Lyft directly to the event simply by hitting the Lyft button. SD Beer App is essentially your pocket guide for navigating all things that San Diego’s craft breweries, tasting rooms, bars and restaurants have to offer.

Guild Fest VIP tickets include more than an early entrance into the event. You’ll be cruising through San Diego Bay on a Harbor Cruise aboard Flagship Cruises with the brewers of Capital of Craft IPA. 60 independent breweries will be pouring amazing beers on deck to kick off the first day of SDBW.

  • 60 minute VIP Harbor Cruise hosted by Flagship Cruises
  • General admission pass to 2018 Guild Fest
  • Small food bites aboard the boat
  • Delicious beer samples during both the VIP Harbor Cruise & Guild Fest

Saturday, Nov 3rd, Guild Fest is taking place at a new location, Embarcadero South in Downtown San Diego.  Although Guild Fest will be in a new location, the kick-off party will be just as great, if not better than previous years. Guests will receive a commemorative tasting cup, unlimited beer samples with 100+ beers to choose from. The event showcases some of the best craft breweries from San Diego & beyond! Food will be available for sale from local, craft beer-friendly restaurants and food trucks.

The event that ends San Diego Beer Week, the SDBW Beer Garden celebration will once again take place at Arroyo Terrace of the Lodge at Torrey Pines. Sunday, November 11th, the Beer Garden brings together the best of San Diego’s breweries and local chefs to celebrate the craft beer movement. 28 breweries and 14 chefs, will blow your socks off with incredibly unique beer and food pairings. Each admission includes unlimited tasters of beer and food (yes unlimited).
